Day 1

Well, I have to tell you, it was with great trepidation that I sallied forth this morning at dark o'clock to travel to Atlanta for the Discovery Education southeastern regional institute. I didn't know quite was I was going to see or hear or do...although I did have an agenda. (I'm one of those people who figured out a long time ago that many agendas are simply suggestions rather than actual timelines of what's happening.)

Anyway, before I go off on a tangent about agendas that aren't really agendas or that don't exist at all, I must say, this was not the case. We have a terrific agenda and David Warlick (www.landmark-project.com)was wonderful as a first speaker. We had a great conversation on blogging and podcasting and how this will impact the instructionallandscape over the next few years. We talked about a vision for 2016 that includes virtual schooling, digital content and community interaction.

I'd really like to hear all alternate communications tools are changing your world.
